Two Mountain Winery (Zillah)

If you think Two Mountain Winery is just another Yakima Valley winery, you haven’t been paying attention. Set just outside Zillah, Two Mountain somehow manages to balance legitimately great wine with a vibe that doesn’t take itself too seriously—which, frankly, is exactly how wine should be enjoyed. This is not a whisper-into-your-glass-and-nod-sagely kind of place. It’s a relax, pour generously, and enjoy yourself kind of place.

The wines are excellent across the board—bold reds, well-structured blends, and bottles that make you pause mid-sip and go, “Oh… yeah, that’s good.” And if you know, you know to keep an eye out for the Bros tasting, which feels less like a formal wine experience and more like a very well-executed hang with people who know what they’re doing. It’s one of those things that regulars casually mention and newcomers immediately want an invite to.

Two Mountain also understands something crucial that many wineries pretend not to notice: kids exist. And instead of acting surprised by that fact, they built a clubhouse for kids, which is basically a parenting miracle. Adults get to enjoy wine, kids get their own space, and everyone leaves happier than they arrived. Add in their new tasting room, which is polished without being precious, and you’ve got a setup that works whether you’re on a date, hosting friends, or wrangling a family afternoon outing.

In short, Two Mountain Winery is doing it right. Great wine, relaxed atmosphere, family-friendly touches, and just enough insider magic to keep things interesting. Come for the tasting, stay for the Bros rumors, and leave wondering why more wineries haven’t figured out that wine is best enjoyed when everyone’s actually having fun.
